I always enjoy this author’s writing style. There’s always a bit of humor interspersed that makes even bad events easier to read about. There are parts of this book that are not something I enjoy reading, so I skipped over it. But overall, the story itself is a good one that many readers will enjoy.

Mabel is just getting back from her week long vacation with her boyfriend. It was a bust. She caught her former boyfriend cheating. First day back she forgot her umbrella, and now she is going to be run over by a car.
All of a sudden she was flying backward and her Boss, Darcy, had her by the waist. He didn't let her go, took her back to the office, and called the doctor for her ankle, and wondered why he hasn't noticed her as a girlfriend before.
He would very much like to get to know her away from the office. He starts out with small things he wants her to do that are personal, including a late night sexy phone call. Does the old saying, Coffee, Tea or Me? " fit for this story? I volunteered to review this ARC book using my own opinion.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were good and the story line was good. I couldn't put this book down until I finished it.
Hot boss + secretary = Valentine hotness.

I really liked Mabel and Darcy together.

Darcy and Ma Belle as he says it are so cute together. He's her boss and she's loved him forever. When he finally lets her know he wants her all bets are off. I loved the HEA!
I usually enjoy Mia Madison's books because they are short, steamy, filled with insta-love and sexy dominant alpha men. The Adamos series has become my favorite. This one didn't do it for me. When it came to sex scenes, the language was over the top vulgar and repetitive. The choice of words that she used made me feel as if they were spoken by a frat boy, trying to impress his friends instead of a grown man enjoying a bit of kink during intimacy with a woman he adores. I missed the feeling of romance and real desire. What I felt was only Darcy's lust. I found myself skipping the sex and that's what I usually love most, lol! I'm not saying that this is a bad book. What I am saying is that I was not turned on by this book because the choice of wording made it apparent to me that it was written by a woman that was trying to articulate what she thinks a man would say. It just didn't do it for me but it has great reviews by others while I loved the last release about Victor Adamos that received very few ratings. It all comes down to each readers likes and dislikes. I like Mia's books and look forward to reading her future work. I just couldn't get into this one.
Dominant alpha male and his secretary. He has the hots for her but never shows it. She has the hots for him but as he never shows it she lives her life..after she catches her boyfriend cheating on her things change between him.
He no longer holds back, going for what he wants. He sometimes confuses her with his hot and cold approach, but it's the alpha in him that likes to be in control.
As much as he is showing her new things about herself sexually. She shows that she isn't quite the walkover.
Hot steamy sex! Arrogant alpha male!! Sweet submissive secretary and you have a recipe for success and of course a HEA.
Get the book it will have you all hot and squirming while you read it.
Another great book written by Mia Madison.
What matters to her in her books is that they are written so realistic that you just have to read on. They are very difficult to stop in the middle of.
The book is short - 122 pages - but it's packed with action and hot scenes.
Very well written with amazing chemistry between the main characters. It is filled with humor, concern, grin, tears and yes, you come to the book throughout the emotional register.
The action is good and takes place at a reasonable pace. Darcy - yes, with that name, there is something to live up to - is doing all he can for Mabel. Unfortunately, I do not find this to be mutual.
He really picks up for her to see, he's the one for her. But the other way is missing a bit.
There are sex scenes with some extra spicy items in the book. These adds a more spice to eroticism.
